Pro Compass for Watch 2.2

The iOS compass app, Pro Compass, is now available for Apple Watch, bringing the experience of classic pocket compass hardware from the 1800s to your wrist. The app utilizes advanced graphics technologies to create a 3D floating compass for authentic navigation.

Pro Compass provides both true and magnetic compass modes through a damped rosette-style compass ring. It displays the local sun and moon positions in real-time and offers location and altitude information. Additionally, it includes a built-in two-axis inclinometer featuring two bubble levels and a bullseye level.

In the latest version of Pro Compass for Watch, users can access a map screen and waypoint manager. This allows for adding waypoints on the map or at the current location, with the ability to visualize waypoints on the compass ring for easy navigation.

Furthermore, Pro Compass offers customizable settings for compass mode (true or magnetic), units for distance/altitude (feet or meters), and position formats, including popular options like decimal degrees, degrees-minutes-seconds, MGRS, USNG, UTM, UTM-B, and Maidenhead Locator System. With six color schemes, including night vision modes such as midnight red and luminescent green, users can tailor their experience.

Pro Compass for Watch is best suited for Apple Watch Series 5 and later models. For older devices like the Apple Watch Series 4 or earlier without a compass sensor, the app utilizes the gyro sensor for measuring rotation. Calibrating the gyro with sun position, moon position, or known bearings allows for accurate readings. Users are encouraged to perform this calibration in interference-free environments to enhance accuracy.

It's important to note that Pro Compass reports accuracy based on the magnetometer sensor in your watch. To achieve optimal results, it is recommended to use the app away from magnetic fields, electronics, or sources of electromagnetic interference.
